A new mindset for Merem
Merem is new. Merem Medische Revalidatie (Medical Rehabilitation) to be complete. Merem is the replacement, or rather merger, of the brand names ‘De Trappenberg’ and ‘Heideheuvel’. A process of change. Even more complex. Even more fun.
The Merem Method
A lot has happened since the name was changed to Merem in 2018. In recent years, the organisation has grown into a knowledge centre for specialist medical rehabilitation to offer people affected by complex diseases or accidents the right diagnosis and treatment. From Hilversum, Lelystad and Almere. All united by one beautiful, worthy mission: to let people participate in society again as much as possible. With a clear step-by-step plan, drawn up by a team of specialists, including an inventive and personalised treatment, they get closer to their goal, step by step. They call this the Merem Method.
The story behind the brand
An organisation that defines the future of rehabilitation needs a brand that fits in with it. By working hand in hand with their team, we established the following story behind the brand: Merem works on long-term results through a personal treatment plan that matches people’s specific wishes and needs. And not only during the rehabilitation period, but also afterwards.
Experts in rehabilitation. The place where people with disabilities due to complex problems can go for proper diagnosis and treatment.
A different mindset
Because thinking like a brand is generally not yet applied in healthcare, we were allowed to completely rethink the brand. What it looks like. How it feels. How it should behave. We created a design that captures the clear and vibrant energy that exists inside and outside the walls of Merem's location. We wrote a story about a life with more possibilities. In the process Merem was given a new bold but welcoming voice. Communication is now anchored in a timelessly confidential form, so that messages, graphic elements and photography are uniform and recognisable as Merem.
But the biggest difference has been making the new system flexible, so that every communication has the opportunity to express nuances. A life with more possibilities. More air. More freedom. And then you see, when a forward-looking institution doesn’t think within its boundaries, the brand immediately gains more possibilities too.
The guys from Maibru have developed and created the brand strategy and translation on all our (online) channels in a clear way. They have guided us in a very pleasant way in sharpening and organising our ambitions to progress. Well for progress you can definitely give them a call.
